Laurie Volkman is a proud farmer’s daughter from Wisconsin. She met her husband, a Minnesota city boy, while attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After using her degrees in dairy science and life science communications doing agricultural sales and livestock nutrition, she left her career in July 2009 to work on dairy farms in New Zealand.

During that time, her husband Craig started Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon. Married in July 2009, Laurie and Craig are still learning the ropes of being married while in the military. They are currently setting up their new home in Germany.
